A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the same domain name. For example, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive email messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be quite easy in case you’ve got a web hosting plan with our company. You can enable this option through our powerful, albeit intuitive Email Manager tool, which is an integral part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage your web hosting account. You will see all the email addresses that you’ve set up enumerated in alphabetical order and to the right of each of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly inform you if a certain mailbox stores all the email messages for a certain domain name or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you want. If there’s activated email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain name, you’ll receive a warning notice from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically and without your consent.
